What APLY earned, and what it may pay
How much of AAPL’s rise APLY still follows
APLY has sold away part of its gains to pay you. This is where that starts and stops, if AAPL finishes there on Aug 14, 2026.
Below $305, APLY keeps up with AAPL in full. Above $305 only 53% of its position still follows — that is the upside it sold to pay this week’s distribution.
Above $310 it follows in full again, because the fund bought calls back at that level.
Whether APLY gives up meaningful upside here comes down to where AAPL trades by Aug 14, 2026. To judge how likely that is, you need a view on AAPL itself. Koyfin lets you compare the strike with its price history, earnings expectations and valuation — 20% off for YieldMaxCalc readers.

How APLY dividend dates work
APLY currently pays on a weekly schedule. For a YieldMax distribution, the declaration date is when the payout is announced, the ex-dividend date is the cutoff for owning shares, and the payment date is when the cash distribution is scheduled to be paid.
The ex-dividend date is the key date for investors: buying APLY on or after that date means you do not receive that declared payment. Use the APLY dividend calculator to model the income stream, or open the full APLY dividend history for every past payment.
