How we classify dividend tickers

The directory groups tickers by the way investors actually shop for them — not by sector or exchange. Dividend Aristocrats & Kings are individual stocks with 25+ years (Aristocrats) or 50+ years (Kings) of consecutive dividend increases, plus ETFs that track them. Dividend ETFsare broader yield or quality screens like SCHD and VYM that don't require aristocrat-strict streaks.

YieldMax ETFs sit in their own group because they behave fundamentally differently — they sell covered calls on a single underlying stock for weekly income and typically show NAV erosion. Covered-Call ETFs cover the rest of the options-income space (JEPI, JEPQ, QYLD, SPYI and friends), while REITs, BDCs & MLPs, and Bond ETFs are separated because each has different tax treatment and risk profile.

Missing a ticker? We add new symbols regularly. The calculator works for any dividend-paying US-listed stock or ETF — even if it isn't in this list yet, you can go directly to yieldmaxcalc.com/SYMBOL and the page will auto-populate from live data.
