a share · estimate
The estimate applies JPO’s last payout rate to what the fund is worth now. Over its own history that has been off by about 12% on average. It breaks when the fund changes its payout rate, which has happened roughly one week in five.
Premium is collected when the options are sold; some is paid back if the underlying closes above the strikes.

How much of JPM’s rise JPO still follows

JPO has sold away part of its gains to pay you. This is where that starts and stops, if JPM finishes there on Aug 14, 2026.

0%50%100%JPM $362.84 today$360$362.5$365$367.5$370JPM share price on Aug 14, 2026

Below $360, JPO keeps up with JPM in full. Above $362.5 only 45% of its position still follows — that is the upside it sold to pay this week’s distribution.

Above $370 it follows in full again, because the fund bought calls back at that level.

Whether JPO gives up meaningful upside here comes down to where JPM trades by Aug 14, 2026. To judge how likely that is, you need a view on JPM itself. Koyfin lets you compare the strike with its price history, earnings expectations and valuation 20% off for YieldMaxCalc readers.

How JPO dividend dates work

JPO currently pays on a weekly schedule. For a YieldMax distribution, the declaration date is when the payout is announced, the ex-dividend date is the cutoff for owning shares, and the payment date is when the cash distribution is scheduled to be paid.

The ex-dividend date is the key date for investors: buying JPO on or after that date means you do not receive that declared payment. Use the JPO dividend calculator to model the income stream, or open the full JPO dividend history for every past payment.
