The estimate applies YBIT’s last payout rate to what the fund is worth now. Over its own history that has been off by about 22% on average. It breaks when the fund changes its payout rate, which has happened roughly one week in five.
Premium is collected when the options are sold; some is paid back if the underlying closes above the strikes.

How much of BTC’s rise YBIT still follows

YBIT has sold away part of its gains to pay you. This is where that starts and stops, if BTC finishes there on Aug 21, 2026.

0%50%100%BTC $27.81 today$36$36.5$37$38BTC share price on Aug 21, 2026

Below $36, YBIT keeps up with BTC in full. Above $36.5 it stops following altogether — that is the upside it sold to pay this week’s distribution.

Above $38 it follows in full again, because the fund bought calls back at that level.

Whether YBIT gives up meaningful upside here comes down to where BTC trades by Aug 21, 2026. To judge how likely that is, you need a view on BTC itself. Koyfin lets you compare the strike with its price history, earnings expectations and valuation 20% off for YieldMaxCalc readers.

How YBIT dividend dates work

YBIT currently pays on a weekly schedule. For a YieldMax distribution, the declaration date is when the payout is announced, the ex-dividend date is the cutoff for owning shares, and the payment date is when the cash distribution is scheduled to be paid.

The ex-dividend date is the key date for investors: buying YBIT on or after that date means you do not receive that declared payment. Use the YBIT dividend calculator to model the income stream, or open the full YBIT dividend history for every past payment.
